She’s had a love for finance and investment since college, which led her to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Utah. For twelve years now, she’s been working the Real Estate Market, dedicating her career to finding out exactly what her clients want and need, and helping them acquire it.
Over the years, Tara has honed her craft to a fine-tuned expertise. She has a great love of the world of Real Estate Investment especially, having invested in various properties personally in addition to helping others professionally. I love working with Tara Paras. Recently she helped us buy and sell our home in the middle of an economic crisis and global pandemic. We had wanted to move into a larger home in a quieter, safer neighborhood for a few years. We decided to go for it right before COVID-19 was blowing up in the United States. Tara negotiated the heck out of a deal for us to secure the perfect home in the neighborhood we wanted. I have no doubt we went under contract due to Tara's quick responsiveness with the sellers realtor. They had multiple offers higher than ours. Everyone knows buying a home is stressful, especially your first time. I was struggling with the fact that I didn't particularly like, trust, or respect real estate agents while knowing we'd definitely need to seek the assistance of someone. However, I'm happy to say Tara Paras and her team changed my mind about what realtors can be. Tara held our hands every step of the way and was extremely expeditious with answering questions, while also not putting any pressure on us whatsoever while we were still securing our down payment.
We didn't buy anything extremely expensive or fancy but Tara still made us feel respected and valid. Not only was she extremely supportive and kind, but she also quite obviously knows what she's doing. I was so worried there would be all this pressure to spend more money, to do more, to do things in a different way--on top of the pressures we were already experiencing like dealing with the bank, inspection, moving, etc.
Tara didn't contribute to any of our stressors and in fact was a great comfort and support through one of the most anxiety-inducing endeavors one can undertake. Her assistant, Jessie, was also helpful and knowledgeable when Tara was not available--which throughout the process really only happened one time. Going to look at homes we were interested in was a breeze and Tara and her team were always very prompt and professional.
If you're like I was and feeling worried or skeptical about realtors, go to Tara Paras. I truly believe she cares about all of her clients and I really felt that from her; AND when it came down to it she was clearly extremely experienced and knowledgeable.

Editing to add: To highlight how amazing Tara is, we recently had a problem with the home warranty claiming they had not been paid. I sent Tara an email on a Sunday evening, she replied within an hour, and her team had the issue resolved by 10 AM the next morning. All for someone who had already paid her! Tara recently helped us find our first home. She was amazing from start to finish. When we first met with her, we knew basically nothing about the home-buying process, nor where to start looking for homes in the (very hot) Salt Lake City market. She helped us figure out what our price range was and what areas would be within that range for the specific house that we wanted. I never once felt pressured to spend more than we could afford, indeed the house we ended up with was a good $20k below our max budget. After meeting with her the first time, we were still saving for a down payment, and she was very respectful of the fact that we wouldn't be ready to seriously look at houses for a few months. Once we started the process in earnest, she was always flexible, coming with us to see houses a couple days after they came on the market. She got us all of the seller concessions we needed, as well as coordinating all of the FHA and inspection repairs. As we moved through the process, she was there every step of the way; answering questions, addressing concerns, and assuaging our fears. She has a fantastic team working with her, and the one time she wasn't able to make it to do a post-repair inspection with us, she sent another member of her team, Jessie, who was fantastic as well. Whitney handled much of the back-end work, coordinating our home warranty, working with the title company, etc. We picked Paras Real Estate after interviewing a couple of other real estate agents who didn't make us feel that we'd have their full support. Even though we weren't buying the biggest or most expensive house, Tara always made us feel valued. If I didn't know better, I would have thought we were her only clients; that's how much attention she paid to us throughout the process.

I don't think I can put into words how amazing our home buying experience was with Tara Paras. She was so friendly, knowledgable and MOST importantly patient. My husband and I weren't exactly sure what we were looking for. We started the process looking for duplex's and then changed to a single family home. Tara and I looked at close to 50 homes before we found the right one. She humored me as I sent her listing after listing trying to find the right home for us. She never once acted irritated or made me feel rushed. Once we started the official buying process Tara took care of everything. She made sure the home owners made some repairs before the sale could go through. Part of the agreement was for the home owner to replace the gas fireplaces. After a bit of drama with the repair man and the frustration of the old homeowner, long story short Tara and the other realtor decided to finish the agreed upon work and pay for it out of their own commission. We were shocked that Tara cared so much about fulfilling the agreement that she took it upon herself to pay for it out of her own pocket when the old homeowners decided to stop responding. I tell everyone about Tara Paras because I think she is the BEST realtor in the Salt Lake Valley. Hire her and you won't be sorry.

We recently bought two rental properties in Salt Lake City (a quad and a triplex) and Tara was our agent. We also don’t currently live in Utah and needed an agent who could do everything for us—from touring places on Face Time to finding and arranging our many inspections and addressing the issues that arose and questions we had. Several years prior to purchasing my home, I went through a home buying process with another realtor only to have the deal fall through five days before closing and lost my earnest money. I was a bit hesitant to restart the home buying process, but Tara was able to guide me in the process and made sure I was comfortable in the transaction the entire way. Tara surrounds herself with good people and was able to recommend great subject matter experts for any question I had. Tara Paras was my first experience with the real estate/broker community in Salt Lake City. And, my experience with her could not have been better. My wife and I needed to purchase an investment property/rental in SLC. Tara worked with my daughter, locally, and with my wife and I remotely - as we lived in Colorado.
Tara was able to find several suitable properties for us to consider - in a very short time period.
Once we identified a property for purchase, Tara did a very quick analysis of comparable properties and helped us establish an offer.
After the offer was made on the property she followed up with the sellers and explained the rationale for our offer. Tara recently helped us find our first home. She was amazing from start to finish. When we first met with her, we knew basically nothing about the home-buying process, nor where to start looking for homes in the (very hot) Salt Lake City market. She helped us figure out what our price range was and what areas would be within that range for the specific house that we wanted. I never once felt pressured to spend more than we could afford, indeed the house we ended up with was a good $20k below our max budget. After meeting with her the first time, we were still saving for a down payment, and she was very respectful of the fact that we wouldn't be ready to seriously look at houses for a few months.
Once we started the process in earnest, she was always flexible, coming with us to see houses a couple days after they came on the market. She got us all of the seller concessions we needed, as well as coordinating all of the FHA and inspection repairs. As we moved through the process, she was there every step of the way; answering questions, addressing concerns, and assuaging our fears. She has a fantastic team working with her, and the one time she wasn't able to make it to do a post-repair inspection with us, she sent another member of her team, Jessie, who was fantastic as well. Whitney handled much of the back-end work, coordinating our home warranty, working with the title company, etc.
We picked Paras Real Estate after interviewing a couple of other real estate agents who didn't make us feel that we'd have their full support. Even though we weren't buying the biggest or most expensive house, Tara always made us feel valued. If I didn't know better, I would have thought we were her only clients; that's how much attention she paid to us throughout the process.
